- Cheapest and most predictable — Dubai Metro: with stations built into Terminals 1 and 3, single fares of about AED 3–7.50 and trains every few minutes, the Red Line beats a taxi on price and avoids traffic. Best when you are travelling light and heading near a Metro station.
- Fastest door-to-door — taxi: no walking with bags, no changes, and it runs 24 hours including when the Metro is closed. Expect to pay several times the Metro fare — but split between three or four people it can be competitive.
- Bus: cheap and useful for destinations the Metro does not serve, but generally slower; best for travellers comfortable with public transport.
